SPT is in the process of producing a new Regional Transport Strategy for the west of Scotland. This will replace the current RTS. The new RTS will set out policies to guide decision-making on transport by SPT and partners in the region, to deliver a new vision for transport for the Strathclyde area:
The west of Scotland will be an attractive, resilient and well-connected place
with active, liveable communities and accessible, vibrant centres
facilitated by high quality, sustainable and low carbon transport
shaped by the needs of all.
SPT has a statutory duty under the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005 to produce a Regional Transport Strategy (RTS) for the west of Scotland.
The public consultation on the draft Regional Transport Strategy is now open. SPT welcomes your views on the RTS in its current draft. We encourage everyone to take part by completing the online questionnaire.
You are encouraged to read the draft RTS before completing the questionnaire. Read the draft RTS.

The consultation is open until midnight Friday 28 October.
