172/172A: Halfway – Cambuslang – East Kilbride (2)
Western Road, Cambuslang at Bute Tower will be closed from 8am Thursday 15th October to 6:00pm Friday 16th October 2026 to facilitate telecom inspections. Service 172 journeys from East Kilbride Bus Station will operate normal route to A749 East Kilbride Road, continue on East Kilbride Road, divert via B759 Greenlees Road and picking up normal route. Journeys from Halfway will operate the same diversion in reverse. We will not be able to serve Western Road during these works. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Service 14 journeys will divert via Cathkin By-Pass in both directions during the closure. We will not be able to serve Skye Road and Cullins Road during the closure. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
