SPT welcomes new Partnership

Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) has formally welcomed its new partnership which sees a number of new Councillors coming on board, and the return of a few familiar faces.

The first key decision reached by the partnership was the appointment of a new Chair and Vice-Chairs.

Councillor Dr Martin Bartos was elected as SPT Chair.

Councillor Dr Martin Bartos is a Councillor for Partick East/Kelvindale in Glasgow.

Councillor Alan Moir and Councillor David Wilson representing East Dunbartonshire and Inverclyde Councils respectively were appointed Vice-Chairs.

The new Chair said: I am delighted to have been appointed to chair the Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT).

"I look forward to the partnership working with all 12 member local authorities, Scottish Government and other transport stakeholders to deliver the best service we can for the travelling public of the West of Scotland.”
