SPT operations committee has approved the award of contract for cleaning services to Churchill Contract Services Ltd.

The contract worth an estimated £15 million for 10 years includes cleaning all SPT facilities from passengers facing Subway stations and depot offices, bus stations and offices, Subway car cleaning, glass cleaning and SPT head office at 131 St Vincent Street.

SPT demands very high standards of cleanliness are maintained across all its facilities promoting a positive image and a clean, pleasant journey for passengers, visitors and staff.

It is hoped that the longer length of the contract will be an opportunity to build a long term partnership with the successful cleaning contractor.  The 10-year contract includes suitable break clauses at years three, five and seven.
