Any bus, taxi or private hire operator can apply to be placed on the Register of Operators by filling in the operator information form.
The form is also used by operators who have already registered to advise of any change of details.
The information sought enables SPT to maintain the register and provides us with the necessary contact details and other information that assists with the contract award process or processing local bus service registrations. It enables us to issue an operator reference number that will be required when submitting tenders.
All subsidised local bus and school transport contracts are advertised on the Public Contracts Scotland website.
