This is a pivotal time to join the organisation and have a real influence on shaping the future of transport in the region as we embark on several key milestone projects to deliver wide-scale reform of the network helping to support a strong economy.
Projects include:
Bus Reform – looking at the options to deliver improvements to bus services to make them more efficient, reliable, affordable, and attractive to all.
Clyde Metro – building the case for investment for a multi modal integrated transport programme of improvements, offering innovative solutions to create seamless connections between transport modes and enhance accessibility for all users.

About SPT
SPT is one of seven statutory Regional Transport Partnerships (RTP) established under the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005 to take a regional approach to transport planning and delivery working across the administrative areas of 12 Councils in the West of Scotland.
As the largest of Scotland’s RTPs, SPT also operates Glasgow Subway which carries more than 13million passengers every year, operates five regional bus stations – again with more than 15million passengers passing through, ensures communities have a bus service when commercial markets do not, and works with a variety of stakeholders to better integrate transport, ticketing and infrastructure.
Note: Board membership is not remunerated, but certain expenses are met.
The successful candidate(s) will be expected to attend up to 12 meetings a year, with appointments initially for a fixed term of four years.
