School Transport

SPT is responsible for providing and managing school transport contracts on a day-to-day basis for 11 councils in Strathclyde.

Across approximately 1200 contracts, we ensure 40,000 primary and secondary children get to school and home again every day completing 80,000 journeys per day.

The performance of school contracts is actively monitored by our team of specialist inspectors. Their role is to ensure that the vehicles used for school transport meet the quality criteria as stipulated by the council.
