The easiest option for most customers is Contactless Pay As You Go (PAYG) – simply hold your payment card (Visa or Mastercard) on the card reader when entering and existing the Subway.

Simply use your Visa or Mastercard (including Apple and Google mobile wallets) when entering and exiting the Subway. You must use the same card or device every time your tap in/out of the Subway, or you may pay more than the prices above.

Smartcard

A smartcard can be used for PAYG and season ticket travel on the Subway.

  • You can buy a Subway smartcard in any Subway station for £3
  • You can order a Subway smartcard at mybramble.co.uk
  • You can use a ScotRail smartcard or a National Entitlement Card if you already have one.
  • You can purchase PAYG credit in any Subway station or online at mybramble.co.uk
  • You can purchase a Subway season ticket in any Subway station or online at mybramble.co.uk
  • You can order a Child Subway smartcard at mybramble.co.uk
  • You can purchase PAYG credit in any Subway station or online at mybramble.co.uk. PAYG credit will be deducted at the gates at the Child rate.
  • You can purchase a child Subway season ticket in any Subway station (ticket office only) or online at mybramble.co.uk
  • You can purchase PAYG credit for your National Entitlement Card in any Subway station.
  • If you have a valid National Entitlement Card (60+/disabled), issued by an SPT Council, PAYG credit will be deducted at the gates at the Concession rate.
  • Concession fares only apply after 09:00 on weekdays (full adult fare applies before 09:00 on weekdays).
  • If your National Entitlement Card was issued by another Council (not in the SPT area), you will be charged full adult fares when using the Subway.

*Child tickets are available for customers under 16 with a  registered Subway Smartcard. Customers will need to provide proof of age when registering. Children under five travel for free if accompanied by a fare paying adult.

**Concession fares are for eligible National Entitlement Card holders(60+/Disabled). You can load PAYG credit onto your National Entitlement Card and the concession fare will be deducted when you travel. Find out more on our Concessions page.

You can load PAYG credit, or adult 7-day and 28-day season tickets onto other Smartcards, including ScotRail and McGill’s.

Single, return and all day tickets purchased on the day of travel from any Subway station.

You can buy single, return and all-day tickets for adults and for Under 16s at any Subway station. You can pay by cash or card at any Subway ticket office or Ticket Vending Machine.

Parking

Parking is available at Bridge Street, Kelvinbridge and Shields Road stations. Regular users can buy a money saving car park season ticket. Car parking is available during Subway opening hours with overnight parking permitted at Shields Road only.
