Planned industrial action suspended
Subway will be run as normal on Saturday 21 June. This follows an update from UNITE that it has agreed to suspend strike action planned for Saturday, following a revised interim offer from SPT.
UNITE will now ballot its members regarding the details of the new offer.
Director of Transport Operations Richard Robinson said:
“We welcome the suspension of the Subway strike planned for Saturday 21 January by UNITE. We believe this is the right decision in light of ongoing negotiations. This allows time for UNITE members to consider the revised interim offer which is both fair and affordable.
“SPT remains committed to further discussions with UNITE to look at longer term arrangements for future Subway operations.”
