Olwen Kirkham tries out a Penny Farthing with assistance from Angus McLaugh. There was fun in abundance at the first ever Glasgow Subway at the weekend.

Performers ranging from singers and poets to rappers and children's entertainers were on hand to make the event a festival to remember.

Among those enjoying the fun was Olwen Kirkham (right), from Partick, who cast aside any reservations at Kinning Park and took to a Penny Farthing, assisted by entertainer Angus McLaugh (also pictured).

After alighting from the bike, Olwen praised the festival and gave a big "thank-you" to everyone who had made it a real treat for her family.
