Subway Festival pulls out all the stops
The finishing touches have been made to the programme for the Glasgow Subway Festival spectacular.
The event, which promises to be a 'rail' treat, runs from Thursday, 10 April, to Sunday, 13 April.
SPT and festival partners DADA have promised to delight passengers, with entertainers travelling the network.
The public will also be invited to enjoy special performances at six Subway stations at the weekend.
Alongside this, Subway passengers can enjoy special offers and discounts at selected venues, just by presenting an on-the-day Subway ticket.
These include:
- An official launch event at Ambar, St Vincent Street, on Thursday evening;
- Free entry for children at Glasgow Science Centre between Thursday and Sunday (excluding the IMAX cinema);
- Two courses for £10, plus a glass of house wine or a selected beer at a number of restaurants;
- Two-for-one tickets to 'They Shoot Horses Don't They' at the Citizens Theatre from Wednesday to Saturday.
Full details of what is on offer are available on this leaflet (pdf format, opens a new window).
SPT Chief Executive Ron Culley said: "We're delighted and proud to be launching this festival.
"The Glasgow Subway is a vital part of the city's transport network and the festival is an opportunity to highlight its huge benefits to the travelling public.
"We're also demonstrating just some of the attractions Glasgow has to offer.
"This is an event open to everyone and we're sure it will prove memorable and enjoyable."
