The launch was the latest stage in a series of initiatives involving Clyde and SPT.

The partnership between the two leading West of Scotland brands began in September 2007 when SPT sponsored Radio Clyde’s Jambuster lines.

The Clyde 1 and Clyde 2 branded carriage will be integrated into the Subway system on Monday, 25 February and will run throughout Glasgow’s Subway for the next two years.

Clyde 1 DJ Suzie McGuire and her Clyde 2 colleague Gary Marshall unveiled the newly refurbished trailer car with SPT Chair Alistair Watson and Director of Subway Operations David Wallace.

Radio Clyde Station Director, Tracey McNellan, said: "The Radio Clyde carriage is a bright and colourful addition to the Subway and we hope passengers will like it.

"We’re hoping to have some on air-fun from the carriage in the coming weeks.”

Mr Wallace, said: "The new Radio Clyde carriage looks brilliant and it will certainly catch the attention of all our passengers.

"Jambusters is excellent and I hope that everyone who hears the reports of traffic congestion every day will think about using the Subway.

"It provides a 12-minute journey across the city and there are Park and Ride facilities at Shields Road, Bridge Street and Kelvinbridge Subway Stations.

"We’re absolutely delighted with our continued collaboration with Clyde."
