UEFA Cup on display at Buchanan bus station

Football’s UEFA Cup will be on display at Buchanan bus station this week as its tour of Glasgow continues.

Visitors to the bus station will be able to see the famous trophy from today (Monday 26 March) to Sunday 1 April between 10am and 4pm every day.

The Cup is being displayed at various locations across Glasgow in the run-up to the UEFA Cup Final which takes place at Hampden on 16 May.

This week’s event has been arranged through partnership working between UEFA, Glasgow City Council and Strathclyde Partnership for Transport.

Chair of SPT, Councillor Alistair Watson made a visit to see the trophy. He said: “It’s great to have an attraction like this in the city. The final itself will be a huge event - I hope I can get a ticket! I’m sure it will prove just how efficient Glasgow is at hosting major sporting events.”
