21 March 2005 Island bus service changes In response to local demand, following consultations with user groups on the island, Arran bus services will be introducing more frequent services throughout the week and on Sundays to meet the extra ferry connections of the summer timetable. Better public transport access to the popular leisure facilities at Auchrannie Spa, Brodick will also be provided. Changes take effect from Good Friday 25 March 2005 and include new experimental journeys, one earlier departure time and the withdrawal of an under utilised late night bus service. Full details of the changes are: Service 322 Brodick - The String - Blackwaterfoot New experimental Sunday services departing Brodick for Blackwaterfoot
at: Service 323 Brodick - Whiting Bay - Blackwaterfoot More evening services will run Monday-Saturday between Brodick and Whiting Bay, with most journeys taking in the Auchrannie Spa. New experimental Sunday services departing Whiting Bay for Brodick at: Service 324 Blackwaterfoot - Lochranza - Brodick This service will make an earlier departure from Blackwaterfoot Mondays
to Saturdays, The experimental journey departing from Brodick at 2200hrs via Blackwaterfoot and Lochranza to Brodick Monday-Saturday nights has not been well used during the last two years and for this reason, the service is to be withdrawn. ends
