New winter timetables take effect

Travellers using trains in the SPT area can now pick up a copy of the new, winter timetable from any staffed station. The new timetable runs until 11 June 2005.The main changes in SPT rail services are:

• The introduction of a new half-hourly service between Anderston and Hamilton with some associated changes to SPT north-west, north-east and south-east services

• Revised arrival and departure times for services from Glasgow to Maryhill, Glasgow to Cumbernauld/Falkirk Grahamston and Motherwell to Cumbernauld

• Revised arrival times at Glasgow Queen Street for Stirling/Dunblane to Glasgow services

• Altered service patterns on some Croy, Lenzie and Bishopbriggs services

• Minor changes on services to and from Garelochhead.
