Getting to healthcare facilities

This page contains information on planning your journey to healthcare facilities by public transport.

SPT is working in partnership with other major organisations on the development, improvement and operation of transport services which serve your hospitals, clinics and surgeries.

The three main health boards in the SPT area (pdf, 715 KB) are NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, NHS Ayrshire and Arran and NHS Lanarkshire.*

For all public transport enquiries, information is available from Traveline Scotland, by using the Journey Planner on the right hand side of this page and by telephone on 0871 200 2233.

To find a health facility in the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde area and for details of visiting times, click on this link.

This section of our website provides travel information related to a number of major hospitals in the Strathclyde region and, over time, more useful information will be included.

Information on the Evening Hospital Visitor Transport Service is also available in this section.

Our Travel Info & Advice section contains details of our Travel Centres, Travel Points and Mobile Travel Centre.

* A small part of NHS Highland is included in the SPT area and the Golden Jubilee National Hospital is a health board in its own right.
