Travel Plan Seminar 2013 – Influencing travel choices

SPT’s annual Travel Plan Seminar will take place today (Thursday 21 February) at the Teacher Building in Glasgow’s city centre.

The seminar – now in its eighth year – offers delegates the chance to hear from key industry figures and to participate in engaging workshops, focusing on the latest debate and developments surrounding travel planning.

The theme for this year’s forum – Influencing Travel Choices – will explore what more can be done to encourage people to use sustainable transport.

SPT Travel Plan Officer Clare Strain said:

“More people than ever are keen to find out about travel options available to them and the high level of interest in this year’s seminar reflects this.

“How employers can influence their staff travel choices is a hot topic, what with financial and environmental issues being at the forefront of many people’s minds at present.

“We have an excellent range of speakers this year so I’m confident delegates will find the seminar interesting and useful.

Speakers at this year’s event include Scottish journalist Alf Young, Sarah Barr from Transport for London and Derek Walsh, Transport Manager at Glasgow 2014.
