Ring'n'Ride

What is Ring'n'Ride?

Ring'n'Ride is an innovative on-demand bus service that picks you up from as near to your door as possible and takes you where you want to go, when you want to go.

It is designed to serve people and communities in areas of rural Strathclyde who do not currently have a local bus service or have poor public transport links to amenities.

The service provides direct links between specific rural areas, and also from these rural areas to town centres, leisure facilities, train stations and hospitals.

It does not make trips where there are alternative direct bus services.

There are currently eight Ring'n'Ride services operating: North Lanarkshire (service 400), Irvine Valley (service 500), East Dunbartonshire (service 600), Carrick (service 700), Lanark (service 800), Three Valleys (service 900), Lomond (service 950) and Gryffe Valley(service 965).

Who can use it?

Ring'n'Ride is for everyone who wants to travel within the areas shown on individual timetable maps.

Passengers who are registered Dial-a-Bus users can also use the Ring'n'Ride Service.

Like conventional bus services, Ring'n'Ride is for individual passengers, but group bookings are also warmly welcomed.

All members of the community are able to use the service, as it is operated using a low floor, wheelchair accessible bus.
