The school holidays are here, hooray! and we’ve launched something super exciting to keep you and the kids entertained over the coming weeks.
We’ve launched five Subway Explorer Trails which take you around the city, visiting the best family-friendly places across the Subway network.
The trails include ‘West End Wandering’ where you can discover the gems of the west including Kelvingrove museum and Botanic Gardens. Next, we’ll take you around the city centre with ‘City Centre Sights’ where you can build up an appetite running wild in Glasgow Green before heading to GOMA for tea and cake! Yum!
If the Southside is more your thing then take our ‘Stepping Into The Southside’ trail and whether you fancy a step back in time at Scotland Street School Museum or some thrill seeking at The Climbing Academy, we’ve got something for everyone. ‘Riverside Adventures’ will take you across the River Clyde and includes The Glasgow Science Centre where you can view the city from the Glasgow Tower, not to be missed!
Last but not least, the trail that everyone is talking about, The Oor Wullie’s BIG Bucket Trail has come to Glasgow for the summer. We couldn’t be more excited as we have our very own Oor Wullie statue in St Enoch Subway station named ‘Charles Rennie’ so be sure to snap a selfie and ‘collect’ our statue to be in for a treat with a discount on food at The Willow Tea Rooms. We’ve put together a Subway map showing all the stops with an Oor Wullie located at them, easy peasy.
So whether you’re from Glasgow or not, simply visit our Subway Explorer Trails and we’ll show you around!
