#SummerofMusic returns!

We’re delighted to announce that we’re bringing back our #SummerofMusic for the third year in a row! After the superb range of performances we had in station last year from our winner, Man of the Minch and finalists The Borrowed Blues, Tommy McGuire, Ben Monteith, Megan D and many more, we’re excited to welcome the fantastic musicians of Glasgow into our stations again!

We’re kicking off our search for talented musicians today, so whether you’re a solo artist or a band, we want you to get involved!  We’re raising the stakes this year and have teamed up with Captial Radio and TRNSMT festival to give one rising star the chance to play an acoustic set at TRNSMT festival, on the new Queen Tut’s stage! Your act simply needs to meet the criteria of the Queen Tut’s Stage, which is that there are core female performers in the band and they are involved from a writing/recording perspective.

Live performances from all of our finalists will take place on 27 & 28 June from 4-6pm at Buchanan Street, St. Enoch, Hillhead and Kelvinbridge stations so make sure you head down, check them out and cheer on your favourites.

If you want to submit your entry to be considered for this competition, head over to Capital Radio’s website where you’ll find all the information.

Good luck everyone, we can’t wait to see your entries!

TRNSMT Festival takes place 12th – 14th July. See Stormzy, Gerry Cinnamon, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Bastille, George Ezra and Snow Patrol, plus loads more. See trnsmtfest.com for full line-up and tickets.
