SPT walked away with two wins and two commendations at the recent Scottish Transport Awards.
Short-listed for an impressive 11 categories in total, it was the iShoogle app and Hillhead Station refurbishment project that stood out for the judging panel. iShoogle scooped the award for Excellence in Travel Information and Marketing with Hillhead winning Integrated Transport Project of the Year.
SPT Chief Executive Gordon Maclennan said:
“Both Hillhead, the first station to be modernised, and iShoogle, the first-ever Subway app, were exciting and dynamic projects for SPT and I’m thrilled that both have received recognition from industry professionals.
“I’d like to thank everyone involved for their hard work and also take this opportunity to congratulate everyone on these fantastic achievements.”
SPT’s work in sustainable travel was also acknowledged, with a commendation in the Achievements in Cycling category and the rural lifeline service 258 and 259 Lanark to Lesmahagow & Douglas/Glespin was commended in the Best Bus Service category.
