With thousands of fans set to line the streets of Glasgow today to welcome home our triumphant Olympians and Paralympians, Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) will be doing its bit to keep people moving and ensure they can enjoy the show.
The parade, stretching from Kelvingrove Art Gallery to George Square, will see two floats led by a pipe band carry the athletes through the streets of Glasgow. It will leave from Kelvingrove at 4.15pm and arrive in George Square at roughly 5.30pm where the athletes will take to the stage.
With large numbers anticipated to show their support, SPT will be running additional services to ensure people can move around the city with ease.
Additional Subway services will run from 1.30pm onwards and stewards will be on hand at Kelvinhall, Kelvinbridge, Buchanan Street and St Enoch to assist with the increased volume of subway users.
