Strathclyde Partnership for Transport is set to play a blinder for Olympic football fans – with a free shuttle bus service to and from the matches that kick off at Hampden on Wednesday 25th July.
Only valid Olympic ticket holders will be eligible for this free service, which will see buses provided by Citylink operate between Buchanan Bus Station and the world famous football venue in Mount Florida.
I would urge all spectators looking to enjoy a great day of football to avoid the hassle of trying to park near the venue by hopping on one of our free shuttle buses.”

The service will operate for the following games:
Wednesday 25th July – Women’s preliminary matches, USA v France, Colombia v Korea DPR. These matches start at 5pm and 7.45pm with free shuttle buses in service from 2pm.
Thursday 26th July – Men’s preliminary matches. Spain v Japan, Honduras v Morocco. Matches start at 12pm & 2.45pm and a free shuttle service bus will start operating at 9am.
Saturday 28th July – Women’s preliminary matches. USA v Colombia, France v Korea DPR. These matches will start at 5pm & 7.45pm and the free shuttle service buses will begin taking fans to the event from 2pm.
Wednesday 1st August – Men’s preliminary match. Egypt v Belarus, match starts at 2.30pm and the free shuttle bus service will start at 11.30am.
Friday 3rd August – A women’s quarter final match will kick off at 12pm and the free shuttle service will take fans there from 9am.
The free bus service is operated by SPT and funded by the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG).
